Pakistan and India have an extended history of clashes and wars ever since the independence in 1947. Kashmir is the core reason for the conflict between Pakistan and India. Following this, Indo-Pak relations deteriorated. Even though these South Asian Nations attempted to solve their water dispute like the Indus water dispute in 1960, there was no settled mechanism to solve their never-ending conflict till now. The peace processes between these two rival South Asian nations started around the year 2000, but soon, it faded away due to the terrorist attack on Mumbai in 2008. These nations are not at war with one another, yet there is no hidden information from the world that these countries are at loggerheads. Subsequently, this article aims to analyze the issues in bilateral relations between India and Pakistan using the systematic and descriptive approach with secondary data. The current study utilizes various secondary sources of information. Also, the peace processes between these nations, like the Tashkent Declaration and Shimla Agreement and many agreements, are being investigated. Moreover, the influence of nuclear tests on peace dialogue among these nations is being examined. Finally, the study provides practical implications and futuristic recommendations for stabilizing the ties between Pakistan and India.
